In the corner office with a view is Jan Kilgore, who has been the Financial Secretary at FBC since November 1, 1991. One of Jan's jobs is taking care of the church's financial business, which includes issuing checks in accordance with church policy, payroll, contributions, reconciling bank statements, making weekly deposits, reporting the quarterly & yearly government reports, checking all invoices & keeping all responsible people informed of their budget expenditures, working with the Finance Ministry Team in composing the yearly church budget and keeping track of all the staff vacations and sick leave.

In January of 2004, Jan became the Faith Evangelism Strategy Administrator for FBC. She attended the Faith Evangelism training in Daytona Beach, Florida in January. Being the Faith Administrator involves organizing the visits, notebooks, maps, & other duties that our Faith teams need each Sunday for visitation in each Faith semester. She has also been a Faith Team Leader. She also currently serves as Financial Secretary for Newport Community Baptist Church.

Jan is the Department Director of Adult VI and is active in the Senior Adult group. She assists the Senior Adult Minister in planning and organizing activities. Throughout the years she has served in the preschool, children, youth and other ministries of FBC.

Aside from her church activities, Jan has her own Craft business in which she displays her crafting ability at shows throughout the year. Jan and her husband have been residents of Crosby for more than 30 years (John was born & raised here). They have been members at FBC for 30 years and John serves as a deacon. They have one daughter, Rebecca, son in law CJ and a precious granddaughter Janna LiliAnn (born January 2007).
