 Karen Vandagriff----Staff Secretary 
The first person you usually see when you walk into the church office is Karen Vandagriff, who has been Staff Secretary at FBC since June 1, 1997. Besides greeting folks and answering the phones, she is primarily responsible for maintaining membership records and the church calendar, preparing reports, and publishing the monthly newsletter, weekly worship bulletin, various mail-outs, and updating parts of the website.

Aside from being active in adult music ministries and children's missions education, Karen is also a regular volunteer at Churches United in Caring. She and husband Mike have been residents of Newport for more than 30 years. They are parents to Harley and his wife Liz, Nonny & Poppy to grandson Will (born May 26,2009), and grand-dog Bandit (Will's proud big sister)!
